This is one of the worst-edited books I've ever seen. It's hard to believe that the author's first language is English. One of the chapter titles is "How to be a Jewish." Some sentences: Referring to the Torah, "The aide that would show them all things required to do, to impeccable the world." "Synagogues, generally, mimic the asylum style of the prevailing society."With such sentences, it is hard to judge how accurate the content is. An English-speaking editor could have saved this book, but as it is, two stars is as high as I can go.

Informative but many grammatical errors blunt its excellence.

This was hard to read due to the appalling use of language. Ladies, guys for men and women. An editor could have helped. I am shocked that this was published as is.
It's really messianic Judaism .
Not necessarily Torah . Would recommend other books such as the dummies series.
I knew nothing about Judaism until reading this book, I found that the author did a fantastic job on explaining this religion and all of its strange rituals and traditions. It was an easy read and I learned a lot of interesting facts about Judaism. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that is curious about other religions, as I am, or just anyone in general that would like to learn the practices.
While this book is seemed a good starting place, the grammar in this book is atrocious. As an example, in numerous places the "a Jewish", or "to be a Jewish" is used. Not a Jewish person, just a Jewish. And this is just one example. I would implore the writeup revisit this book and correct this and many other issues along the same line.
The book hardly contains any information, it's very superficial. For example, there is only half a page to explain the different groups in Judaism. I'm not Jewish, merely interested, but I didn't learn anything from the book.
The wording isn't great and there are a number of word written in all caps. It feel like the author is shouting. This book really needs an editor.
If you'd want to learn about Judaism, forego this book and look for something with more substance.
